Investors who relocate here for business purposes may also be interested in obtaining Isle of Man residency after having spent some time on the island. You will be considered to be resident in the Isle of Man if you are present in the Isle of Man for at least 183 days in a tax year. The tax year in the Isle of Man ends on 5 April (as in the UK).

Alternatively, if as a visitor you spend on average more than 90 days in the Isle of Man over the previous 4 tax years you will be considered an Isle of Man tax resident from the start of the fifth tax year.

Entrepreneurs can choose to obtain Isle of Man citizenship first by applying to one of the Tier 1 visas or the Business Migrant visas and then observing the conditions to remain in the country for a minimum period.
