About Nicaragua Citizenship and Residency

Nicaragua offers citizenship and residency by investment, a citizenship by investment program (CBI) in Nicaragua allows foreign investors to gain second citizenship and a passport to a more democratic and liberal country than their own, in return for financial investment in that country. This is normally made in the form of a charitable donation or a real estate purchase. Once the investment is made, the investor is granted the citizenship and passport of their chosen country in a short time. This program offers two investment options to choose from:

  • Option 1: Life Citizenship the investor would need to make a US$ 100,000 investment so the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office can provide us with the naturalization certificate.
  • Option 2: Real Estate Purchase the investor would need to purchase Nicaraguan real estate for a minimum value of US$ 50,000.
